A 10-year-old girl witnessed her father being stabbed in a horrifying knife attack in Nottingham.
The victim, a man in his 30's walked himself and his daughter to a local post office in order to use a cash machine.
When realising that a child had sprayed silly string over the cash machine, the victim asked the perpetrator to clean the mess, prompting an aggressive response from 40-year-old dad, Marlon Nelson.
Both parents went their separate ways, but Nelson later hunted his victim down after he dropped his child off at a relatives house and picked up a knife.
Nelson found his victim still in the post office, and made numerous advances at him before throwing an item at his head as his daughter watched on.
Despite a flurry of swings, Nelson's victim survived the attack, but came away with numerous cuts to his wrist.
Nelson was arrested following the attack, and charged with wounding with intent and threatening a person with a bladed article in a public place.
He appeared at Nottingham Crown Court today on Thursday and was jailed for two years and three months after admitting the offences.
