Police appeal following Christmas Eve stabbing
Thames Valley police are appealing for new information following a stabbing outside of a shopping centre in Banbury, Oxfordshire.
Two men had a verbal altercation outside the USC shop in Castle Quay Shopping Centre at around 1.45pm when the offender stabbed the 34-year-old victim in the leg.
The victim and several witnesses chased the offender to Christchurch court, where he then proceeded to escape the scene in a yellow Seat Ibiza.
Police were called to the scene where they arrested a 29-year-old male on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
He has been released on police bail until January 18th, 2021.
Detective Constable Samantha Bonner said: “The incident happened in Banbury town centre on Christmas Eve, therefore there are hundreds of potential witnesses. I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident or has any information about the stabbing who has not already spoken to Thames Valley Police to please contact the force.
