Police appealing for new information in relation to Leicester stabbing

Leicestershire police have released new CCTV images in an appeal for fresh information in regards to a stabbing that took place in Leicester on Sunday, 20th December.

At around 7pm, a fight broke out between a 17-year-old boy and a man near Beaumont House, Granby Street.

It is then reported that a second man joined in the altercation, stabbing the young boy a number of times in the chest and legs.

A third man is also believed to have been present at the scene, however he was not directly involved.

The victim has since been discharged from Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham, where he received treatment for his injuries.

Detective Constable Robert Smith is urging anyone with information to come forward.

He said: “We are continuing with our enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident.

“This attack happened in the city centre when people may still have been out and about.

“We would urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who recognise the men pictured to make contact.

“Anyone with any other information which they believe could assist our enquiries should also get in touch.”
