A teenager has been found guilty after stabbing a boy repeatedly in Hull.
The 16 year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, assaulted the 14-year old with a large knife in September last year.
The victim was chased through the Bridlington Avenue Estate after a disagreement between the two. He was then stabbed three times in the back, and a further three times in the front. One of the blows narrowly missing his heart.
Detective Chief Inspector Craig Nicholson, of Humberside Police, said: "The situation these two boys ended up in has changed both of their lives forever. The victim has suffered hugely as a result of this attack, not only physically but mentally, and I commend him for the bravery he has shown during the legal process and for the time it has taken for this case to come to court."
The accused was found guilty of committing a section 18 assault when he appeared at Hull Youth Court last week and will be sentenced on a later date.
